Viriditas

HIldegard spoke a good deal about the inherent, vibrant, reciprocal connection between the physical world and the divine presence, the connection that exists throughout all creation.

In that connection, we make a difference. I have felt love from afar. I have been uplifted without knowing how. I have known that I was being prayed for without ever hearing a sound. In contemplation, I believe we can do that for one another. The need to know who or how does not exist. God takes care of that. My invitation to you is to take a long, loving look at what is real--be that beautiful or troubling.

All is held within God's hands, ourselves included. Within that loving grasp, we bring God's own compassion to bear on a world that longs to be loved.

Coming Soon - Another Zoom on one of our Sisters in Tradition!

Time and Date: TBD (soon as I figure who could possibly follow Hildegard, I will let you know!)

I wrote this poem for my grandchildren and their friends who have missed playoffs, proms and graduation. They will certainly be marked by this experience--I pray to the good

From one generation to another
from me to you:
Thank You

Thank you for staying home
even when you wanted to go out.
Thank you for everything virtual
instead of real.

We are sorry for the things
that, for now, could not be.
But you will make memories
yours alone to cherish.

Thank you, sweet Future,
for staying healthy yourself,

For you are our hope.

We cared for you when you were little,
but in these days, we find

That you are the ones
who have cared for us.
And we thank you.

May your generosity come
to define your generation,

As you step with confidence
into the future

Having learned so young
what it took us a lifetime to know--

We belong to one another.
With love,
One generation to another
